Description

The Pu-erh tea used is made from ancient tree ripe leaves harvested in 2016 from the Mengku region. The fermentation process is well-executed, with no unpleasant pile or storage odors, and the tea liquor is smooth, full-bodied, and pleasantly sweet.

Mu Zuo Chenpi Pu-erh Tea 1122 combines Pu-erh and citrus peel aged together for five years, resulting in a harmonious balance of rich tea depth and refreshing citrus aroma.
Suitable for both brewing and boiling, it makes an excellent everyday wellness tea.

Tangerine Peel Pu’er Tea

The citrus peel used comes from Xiaoxue solar term (around late November) harvests in the core producing region of Xinhui, specifically the Erhong mandarin.

Erhong (Second Red) mandarins fall between green and fully ripe red mandarins in maturity—the peel is reddish with hints of green, offering a light, sweet flavor. The Qingxiang (fresh citrus) aroma of the Chazhigan variety is particularly rich, and complements ripe Pu-erh tea beautifully.

Peels from Xinhui’s core growing areas are known for their plump, intact oil sacs, making them a premium raw material for Guang Chenpi, a traditional Chinese medicinal ingredient. Research suggests Chenpi offers certain health benefits and it remains a common culinary and wellness ingredient in Guangdong.

Brewing Recommendations

Brewing Instructions
Use 7–8g of the blend (mostly tea with a small amount of peel), and brew with fully boiling water.
Maintain high water temperature throughout the brewing process for optimal flavor.

  • First infusion: A quick rinse—pour in and pour out immediately to awaken the tea.

  • Second infusion: Steep for 12–15 seconds, then pour.

Boiling Method
Use 5g of the blend (tea-heavy, light on peel) with 500ml of water. Bring the water to a boil before adding the tea, then reduce to low heat and simmer until the desired strength is reached. Enjoy warm.

⚠️ Note: Always use fully boiling water. Insufficient water temperature may suppress the tea’s full aroma and flavor expression.
